How to convert TIFF to JPG for free

  1. Select or drop your TIFF files.
  2. Adjust quality, dimensions, resize mode or background when needed.
  3. Select Convert, compare the original and result, then download your JPG file.

The conversion runs locally in your browser. Zeepora does not upload your selected files, require an account, add a watermark or charge a fee.

When to convert TIFF to JPG

A TIFF from a scanner or image editor may be difficult to share with apps that expect JPG. Zeepora decodes the first image page locally in your browser, converts it to a single JPG, and lets you compare the original and result before downloading. Your selected file is not uploaded to Zeepora.

BEST FOR

A single scanned page or still TIFF image that needs to be attached to email, added to a document, or uploaded to a service that accepts JPG but not TIFF.

STARTING SETTINGS

Leave width and height blank to keep the first page’s pixel dimensions. Start around 90–95% JPG quality, then lower it only if the smaller file still looks acceptable. Use Fit within to shrink a large scan without stretching it, and choose a background colour if the TIFF contains transparent areas.

KEEP IN MIND

Only the first TIFF page is converted; later pages are not included in the JPG. JPG cannot preserve transparency and uses lossy compression, so keep the original TIFF for multipage records, editing, or archival use. Check text and fine scan detail at actual size before download.

TIFF to JPG questions

Does TIFF to JPG convert every page?

No. Zeepora converts only the first TIFF image page to one JPG. Keep the original TIFF if you need its other pages, or use a tool that explicitly exports each page.

What JPG quality should I use for a scanned TIFF?

Start around 90–95% for text or detailed scans. Compare at actual size, then try a lower setting if a smaller file matters more than fine detail.

Can I reduce the dimensions of a large TIFF?

Yes. Enter a width or height in Options and use Fit within to keep the page proportions. Leave both fields blank to keep the first page’s original pixel dimensions.

Will transparency survive in JPG?

No. JPG has no transparency. Zeepora fills transparent pixels with the background colour selected in Options; white is the default.

Is my TIFF uploaded to Zeepora?

No. The selected TIFF is decoded and converted locally in your browser. The image and filename are not sent to Zeepora.
