When to convert PNG to BMP
Convert PNG to BMP when older software or a specific upload system requires a bitmap file rather than PNG. Zeepora decodes your PNG in the browser and writes a 32-bit, uncompressed BMP from the rendered pixels. You can compare the dimensions and file sizes before downloading, but first confirm that the receiving program accepts 32-bit BMP files.
Leave width and height blank to keep the source dimensions. If the destination specifies a size, enter one dimension to preserve the aspect ratio, or use both with Fit within to avoid stretching. BMP has no quality slider in Zeepora because its output is uncompressed pixel data.
A 32-bit BMP will often be much larger than the PNG because the result stores four bytes per pixel plus a small header. The file contains alpha bytes, but older BMP readers may ignore transparency or require a different bit depth, so test the finished file in the target program.

PNG to BMP questions
Will converting PNG to BMP make the image clearer?
No. BMP stores the rendered pixels without compression, but it cannot add detail to the original PNG. Keep the original dimensions unless the destination requires a different size.
Why is the BMP larger than my PNG?
Zeepora writes uncompressed 32-bit BMP pixels: roughly four bytes per pixel plus the file header. PNG uses lossless compression, so a BMP can be substantially larger.
Will my transparent PNG remain transparent?
Zeepora writes alpha bytes into the BMP. However, support for transparency varies among BMP viewers, especially older programs. Open the downloaded file in your destination app to confirm its appearance.
Can I choose a 24-bit BMP instead?
Not currently. Zeepora exports 32-bit BMP files. If your software requires exactly 24-bit BMP, this converter may not meet that requirement.
